Born 14th Feb 1967. Studied art from Government College of Art & Craft Kolkata & Sir J.J.College of Art Mumbai. Through his paintings he intends to pay homage to the cityscape that defined his childhood.He believed there is more truth to black and white and that colour although appealing did not pose a challenge.
Ajay De works predominantly in Charcoal. Simple addition of indigo and crimson serve as a dramatic expression of his vivid mind. He has had a number of shows in Tokyo Singapore UK & USA.
