Was born in Junagarh Gujarat in 1942. He obtained a Diploma in painting and a post diploma in graphics from the reputed MS University,Baroda. He has worked in the capacity of visiting Faculty at NID, Ahmedabad from 1987 to 1990. He was felicitated with the First Prize by the Gujarat Lalit Kala Academy in 1966, 1967 and 1968 among other awards he has won over the course of his career.
