“Life is like the river, sometimes it sweeps you gently along and sometimes the rapids come out of nowhere.” – Emma Smith, Author
Ganesh Hire got his first lessons of art on the banks of the river Godavari and ever since has developed a deep, spiritual connection with the riverbank which permeates into his artwork till date. The ever-flowing river is symbol of all life on earth for him; always moving, always evolving and instead of trying to slow it down or reverse it, we need to learn to enjoy every moment of it.
The sight of a river, to this day, imbues a sense of calm within him which he attempts to capture with water colour on paper. His impressionistic compositions of riverbanks with azure blues and soft yellow oranges whisper of a serenity which permeates to the viewer. The quiet, empty boats with tall shafts sometimes have an ethereal quality. A skillful watercolourist, Ganesh captures the watery landscape which throbs with the vibrating energy of contrasting colours.
