N.S. Manohar

N.S. Manohar, the former Principal of the Government College of Fine Arts, Kumbakonam. Manohar is a versatile artist and has worked with several mediums such as ink, charcoal, acrylic and oil however he has mastered the use a watercolour paint.

His watercolours are intricately detailed which is no mean feat given the difficulty of the medium. he enjoys working with many transparent layers of colours that evoke the myriad moods and emotions. His favourite subjects are Indian gods that seem just about discernible though the layers of water and paint.
