Ganesh Panda completed his education in 1982 from Govt. Collage of Art and Craft, Khalikote, Odessa, after which he moved to Mumbai to fulfil his dream of becoming an artist.
Somewhere, in between his entire struggle to survive he got into art direction in an ad agency. However, the vacuous corporate life was a constant source of discontentment for him. Panda eventually found solace in the setting sun, in the changing autumn leaves, the ebbs and flows of a river and eventually quit his job one day to pick up a palette knife and paint the sights he loved.
Ganesh Panda uses palette knife to describe the flavour of the natural world. In his paintings, every stroke is visible. His choice of vibrant and sparkling colours and knife patches etched so perfect, makes his artworks a visual delight.
Each of his paintings brings different moods, colors and emotions. They are the true reflections of his feelings at the time of painting. His style is distinctly recognizable and demands the attention of the viewer, giving them the feeling of being able to walk in his picture and experience his emotions.
