Nagesh Goud

Born in 1965 Hyderabad, Nagesh completed his Bachelor degree in Fine Arts from College of Fine Arts, Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University, (JNTU) Hyderabad, in 1993. He also obtained a Distinction in his Maharashtra Art Certification (1987).

Goud’s works take inspiration from the great Indian epics – the Mahabharata and the Ramayana. With symbolism fused into his paintings, he works with strong hues and detailed imagery. One can see a strong influence of the Paithani and Kalamkari way of art in Nagesh’s paintings. What sets him apart from these two styles, is his clever use of modern art elements.
