Eloquence

Eloquence
Women stand at the heart of Sanjivv Sankpal’s paintings – creation and courage, tenderness and strength, sacrifice and beauty – the quiet pulse of life itself. In Eloquence, her presence unfolds as sacred, enduring, and luminous, echoing ancient rhythms and the timeless resonance of the Mother Goddess.
Rooted in the soil of North Karnataka and Kolhapur – Morewadi, where the artist resides, these works are inspired by village women – farmers, labourers, and Devadasis – who carry homes within their hands and festivals within their hearts. Sankpal is drawn to their innate grace, the poetry of their movements, and the power of their unspoken gestures. It is within this quiet dignity that true eloquence emerges.
Red, yellow, blue, green, and radiant white move across his canvases as living energies – colours of joy, resilience, and inner shakti. He does not seek the unfamiliar; instead, he reshapes what he has seen, lived, remembered, and dreamt.
For over three decades, this journey has unfolded through daily devotion and relentless experimentation on canvas and paper. His works have travelled across India and internationally, exhibited in London, Canada, Dubai, South Korea, Indonesia and beyond, finding homes in distinguished public and private collections and receiving national and international recognition.
Eloquence is Sankpal’s offering – a tribute to woman, to life, and to the sacred every day.
